Description
Beloit Health System is looking to add a Student Radiology Technologist to our Team!
- Shift: Varied
- Schedule: Hours between 6:30 am – 11:00 pm
- Hours per week: Varied – Per Diem
- Benefits Status: Not Eligible
- Department: Radiology
The Radiology Technologist Student performs x-ray procedures to produce images for the purpose of diagnosing disease processes under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist until board certified.
- Provides diagnostic radiographic services
- Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist
- Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
- Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures
- Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
- Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
- Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc.
- Performs quality control checks as required
- Assists in aspects of patient care including transportation and PACs processing.
- Detects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions.
- Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement programs
- Pursues licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
Job Requirements
- Enrolled in final semester of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology
- Must become ARRT registered in Radiology and licensed in the state(s) you work within 90 days of graduation
- Self-motivated and able to be flexible
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to interact well with customers
- Good written and oral communication skills
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Radiology..Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists.
- Must adhere to established Health System and Medical Imaging Department policies, rules, and regulations
- Maintain ethical conduct and keep confidential personal and medical information about patients
