Description

At Urban Utilities, our purpose is simple yet powerful – Enrich Quality of Life. With a $7 billion asset base and services spanning 1.5 million residents and more than 31,000 commercial customers across South East Queensland, we are committed to enhancing the liveability of our communities every day.

About the Opportunity

We're looking for an organised and customer-focused RTA Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of Urban Utilities' rostering, time and attendance processes. Reporting to the Rostering Time and Attendance Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our workforce is scheduled effectively, employee time records are accurate, and payroll outcomes are delivered correctly and on time.

Working closely with employees, leaders, Payroll and People & Capability teams, you'll coordinate leave and time administration, support roster management activities, resolve workforce management queries and maintain the integrity of our rostering and time and attendance systems. You'll also help ensure compliance with enterprise agreements, policies and operational requirements while delivering a positive experience for our people.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with workforce administration, rostering, payroll support or HR operations experience who enjoys solving problems, managing competing priorities and helping create efficient and reliable processes that support frontline service delivery.

What You'll Deliver

  • Coordinate leave, time and attendance processes to ensure accurate records, timely approvals and payroll-ready outcomes.

  • Manage roster change requests, shift vacancies and roster publication activities that support operational requirements and workforce coverage.

  • Provide high-quality first-level support and advice to employees and leaders on rostering, leave and time administration processes.

  • Complete workforce management system administration activities while maintaining data integrity, compliance and audit-ready records.

  • Produce reports, manage exceptions and identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce rework and strengthen payroll readiness.

About You

  • Experience in rostering, workforce administration, time and attendance, payroll support, HR administration or a related operational environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume administrative processes with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Experience supporting leave administration, approvals, exception management and payroll-related processes.

  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills with the ability to respond to enquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.

  • Experience using HRIS, workforce management or time and attendance systems, along with solid Microsoft Excel capability.

  • Ability to analyse information, identify issues, follow established processes and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

At UU, our strength comes from our people. We value different perspectives, backgrounds, experiences and ways of thinking, and we're committed to creating a workplace where people feel respected, included and supported to do their best work.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, identities and life experiences. You do not need to meet every requirement to apply. If this role interests you and you feel you could contribute, we'd love to hear from you.

For us, it's about finding the right person, not ticking every box.

If you require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know. We're here to support you through the process.
