Description
Our client is currently recruiting for the following position to join its team:
Marine HVAC Supervisor:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the onboard installation of marine HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Coordinate installation teams, subcontractors, and shipyard departments.
- Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Monitor installation progress and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
- Support testing, commissioning, and punch list completion.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in marine HVAC installation, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in shipbuilding or ship repair projects (naval, cruise vessels or offshore).
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, chilled water systems, refrigeration, insulation, and ventilation.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and technical documentation.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Good command of English (Portuguese is an advantage).
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience working with Classification Societies (DNV, LR, BV, ABS, etc.).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
