The appointee will provide all-round administrative and operational support to the Security Section. Major duties include managing key control and inventory records, maintaining databases and documentation, coordinating procurement and payment processes, preparing statistics and reports, and supporting daily office administration.
The appointee will also play a key role in planning and coordinating security support arrangements for special events, including Flag Raising Ceremonies, Congregation, VIP visits, and other major University events. Duties involve liaising with internal departments, contractors and external parties to ensure the smooth delivery of event support services.
Applicants should have completed secondary education or above, preferably with a certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Security Management or a related discipline, and possess at least 3 years of relevant work experience. Candidates who do not possess the required academic qualifications but have at least 10 years of substantial relevant work experience, proven administrative capabilities, and a strong track record in operational support, inventory management, event coordination, and stakeholder liaison may also be considered.
The ideal candidate should possess a pleasant personality, strong interpersonal and communication skills, a good team spirit, and a proactive attitude. Working knowledge of PC applications, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Experience in key management, inventory control, procurement administration, event coordination, and security-related administration will be an advantage. Knowledge of CCTV operations, security systems and building services systems is desirable. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
