Position Details:
The Senior QE Analyst/QE Tester will help ensure application quality by interpreting business requirements and validating end-to-end functionality across integrated systems.
This role supports SIT and UAT deliverables in a regulated financial environment, with emphasis on traceability, quality, and audit readiness. The Senior QE Analyst/QE Tester will work closely with test leads, developers, and business stakeholders to support effective testing across the full testing lifecycle.
Support the testing team in building and running automated tests using Playwright.
Learn and apply modern testing practices, including AI-assisted (agentic) testing.
Gain hands-on experience in automation, debugging, and test execution within a real enterprise environment
Roles and Responsibilities
Support SIT and UAT activities by analyzing requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documents.
Work closely with senior testers, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, test scenarios, and expected outcomes.
Design detailed test cases using standardized templates, ensuring functional coverage and traceability to requirements.
Support test environment readiness and test data preparation.
Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and validate outcomes in test management tools.
Validate reports, interfaces, data flows, and backend data across systems using SQL.
Log, track, triage, and manage defects through closure with clear evidence, including logs, screenshots, traces, and root cause details.
Provide regular SIT/UAT status updates and support reporting deliverables.
Build, execute, and maintain Playwright-based UI and end-to-end automation scripts, including use of logs, screenshots, and trace viewer for debugging.
Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot to support test design, script generation, and productivity improvements.
Apply modern QE practices, reusable test frameworks, shared test data, and page object concepts.
Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and testing approaches
Job Requirements and Experience:
5-8 years of experience in software testing for complex enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle and testing methodologies.
Industry Experience: Banking or financial services experience.
Domain Experience: AML, financial risk, compliance systems, sanctions compliance, financial operations, or general ledger processes.
Experience testing reports, interfaces, batch processes, data migration, or application upgrades.
Interested in learning automation tools, reusable test frameworks, and AI-assisted testing methods.
Exposure to programming or scripting, such as JavaScript, Python, or Java, is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Ability to work independently in a structured, process-driven environment.
Experience working with global or distributed teams.
Tools & Technologies
Experience with test management tools such as Jira (Xray/Zephyr) and ALM.
Proficiency in data validation using SQL and ETL or data pipeline validation techniques.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
Automation: Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing, including logs, screenshots, and trace viewer.
AI-Assisted Testing: GitHub Copilot or similar tools for test design and script generation.
Languages Preferred but Not Required: JavaScript, TypeScript, and basic scripting knowledge.
Test Design Concepts: Page object model, reusable test components, and shared test data.
Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
Experience with documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
Education level:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
