Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Compensation: $68,000-$75,040/year + Company Benefits
About the Company:
Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada.
They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Shop Mechanic to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair various types of electrical powered material handling equipment
- Provide in house repairs to both machines and charging stations
- Look up part numbers required for repairs and place orders with parts department
- Source parts and contact parts suppliers
- Maintain service manuals and update service bulletins of any important information that needs to be conveyed to other employees
- Keep work area clean and in good working condition (i.e. tools, parts, PPE, health & safety policies, service manuals)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of 4-5 years of experience working in either the automotive or heavy equipment industry
- Prior experience in repairing and servicing electrical powered forklifts is considered to be a strong asset
- Must possess a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
