Your Role
The automotive industry is undergoing a major transformation since the invention of internal combustion engine nearly 150 years ago. Increased level of autonomy and network connectivity has resulted in the demand for new generation in-vehicle networking technology using Automotive Ethernet. Infineon is the global leader in the development of Automotive Ethernet products such as PHY and Ethernet switch. When you join us, you get to work with a team of expert verification engineers who have successfully verified over 25 mass-production chips. You will assist in improving the quality of our chips to meet critical automotive requirements, including functional safety, time-sensitive networking, cybersecurity and traceability.
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Utilize the latest tools and methodologies such as UVM to develop state-of-the-art verification environments for verifying the functionalities of automotive Ethernet switches
- Formulate and develop coverage-driven, constrained random tests to identify and catch pre-silicon design bugs
- Collaborate with design engineers and verification architects to design test plans, coverage models, and test suites that improve chip quality and satisfy automotive customer requirements
- Engage in the development of new verification methodologies and continuous workflow improvement to achieve certification in functional safety
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- Master's / Bachelor's Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or related fields (e.g. Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Control and Automation), with coursework in digital logic design, coding, and networking
- Experience in object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, SystemVerilog, C++); candidates with experience in other programming languages will also be considered
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python, Make)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Curiosity in innovation and technology, with a commitment to staying up to date with the latest technology developments and business landscape of automotive Ethernet
- Flexible, proactive, and outcome-oriented mindset
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team player
