About the role
This role is for a senior strategy leader who can help take the company into its next stage of growth, maturity, and market relevance. The successful candidate will work closely with the executive team to shape long-term direction, challenge conventional thinking, and identify the strategic moves, operating changes, and technology-enabled opportunities that will elevate the business. They will bring a forward-looking mind set, with enough understanding of AI and emerging technologies to spot where these tools can create commercial advantage, improve decision-making, strengthen customer experience, or streamline operations — without approaching the role as a technical AI owner. Define and drive the company’s medium- to long-term strategic agenda, ensuring priorities are clear, actionable, and aligned to growth ambitions. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to evaluate where the business should invest, where it should pivot, and what it must build to remain competitive in a changing market. Identify new growth opportunities across products, markets, partnerships, customer segments, and business models, then translate those opportunities into practical strategic initiatives. Lastly, use data, market intelligence, and commercial insight to guide decision-making and help leadership focus on the areas with the highest strategic value.
The successful applicant
- 15 years of experience in corporate strategy and experience of developing strategic plans and corporate objectives
- Experience in successfully leading the delivery of outcomes and transformation in a commercial enviornment
- Experience working with new technology, incubation and innovation companies will be an advantage
- Evidence of success in building, enhancing and maintaining the reputation of an organisation.
- Substantial track record of successful negotiation and implementation of complex commissioning programmes with multiple stakeholder engagement
- Experience of establishing and building effective partnership arrangements Experienced in creating business strategies, leading teams, inspiring external clients on accepting new digital technology enablement
- Ability and interest in managing and communicating IT strategy and solutions to C-levels
- Good command in English and Chinese
