Job Description

As a Security Officer Overnight Highrise Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach while assisting guests, staff, and visitors throughout the property.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a hotel or resort location.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observed activity and reporting relevant information to site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, assist with visitor and vendor entry procedures, and help to support a professional environment through visible presence and courteous communication.
• Observe hotel and resort operations for unusual conditions, assist with incident response as needed, and communicate with management and/or emergency services when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
