Job Description
Role: Senior Account Executive
Location: Chicago
What you’ll do
We’re MiQ, a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be too. No matter the role or the location, we’re all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.
As a Senior Account Executive in Sales, you’ll have the chance to:
Deliver against fiscal and strategic objectives.
Build, deepen and expand relationships across marketing agencies and brands, with a particular focus on being highly connected into the WPP agency ecosystem to unlock new opportunities and drive business growth.
Maintain and manage sales forecasting tools and reporting.
Work with local Trading and Account Management teams to deliver on client objectives, organizing stakeholders and milestones to keep projects moving with pace and precision.
Communicate clearly and credibly with external partners, clients and internal stakeholders, flexing communication style to persuade others and influence positive outcomes.
Identify business challenges that MiQ solutions can solve, acting with curiosity and commercial intent.
Find new and better ways of working, then apply or implement solutions to unarticulated needs, new or existing market requirements.
Create pipeline through consistent outbound effort, strong follow-up and purposeful relationship building across your agency patch.
Stay close to the market, spot openings early and turn conversations into qualified opportunities.
Bring urgency, persistence and accountability to the role, with a bias toward action and a willingness to do the work required to move business forward.
What you’ll bring
7+ years of experience in digital media, programmatic and/or AdTech, with meaningful agency-facing sales experience.
Deep, established relationships within WPP agencies, with the credibility and commercial instinct to turn those connections into growth for MiQ.
A high degree of self-motivation, ownership and resourcefulness, with the ability to operate like an independent business owner.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Strategic thinking skills, looking beyond RFPs to propose plans that address broader business needs and client challenges.
A proactive, high-energy approach with strong follow-through and the ability to move quickly, create traction and keep opportunities advancing.
A true new-business mindset: someone who is comfortable prospecting, opening doors, creating momentum and staying on opportunities until they convert.
The discipline to manage a high level of activity, keep multiple conversations moving and consistently push for next steps.
Eagerness to work in a fast-moving team environment that is rapidly changing; works well in a team and believes in winning together.
Agency experience as a customer, partner or employee; client-facing management agency experience is a bonus.
A polished, professional presence and the judgment to represent MiQ effectively with senior agency stakeholders.
A can-do attitude, with a desire to grow alongside us.
We’ve highlighted some key skills, experience and requirements for this role. But please don’t worry if you don’t meet every single one. Our talent team strives to find the best people. They might see something in your background that’s a fit for this role, or another opportunity at MiQ. If you have a passion for the role, please still apply.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Chicago, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Chicago and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The compensation range for the base on this position is between $125,000-$140,000. An estimate of the on target earnings for this role with all variable components would typically fall between $280,000-$320,000 but could exceed that range.
