Description
We are seeking an experienced Content Guest Experience UI Designer with a strong background in campaign design, headless CMS delivery, and AI-assisted building to turn marketing and commercial goals into digital experiences guests understand and act on. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional partners, including marketing, product, commercial, engineering, and analytics teams, to design, build, and ship landing pages, promotional and sales experiences, and reusable content modules across web, iOS, and Android.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented designer who doesn’t stop at mockups. You will take campaigns from concept through working delivery using Contentstack and a shared design system, and you will use AI tools as a core part of how you explore, build, and iterate, while staying accountable for inspecting, fixing, and validating everything they produce.
Contract Length: 12 Months
Pay: $49.50
- Partner with marketing, product, and commercial stakeholders to define the audience, the offer, and the action guests should take, and clarify gaps in the brief.
- Design compelling campaign experiences, including concepts, layouts, imagery, typography, and interactions that express each brand and drive action.
- Assemble pages and campaign variants in Contentstack using content models, reusable modules, references, and approved assets, accounting for content limits and responsive behavior.
- Apply shared components, semantic tokens, and brand themes from the design system, flagging gaps and contributing fixes rather than creating one-off styles.
- Use AI design and coding tools to create and iterate, supplying the right context and constraints, then inspecting, correcting, and validating the output.
- Develop and maintain versioned campaign specifications covering messaging, offer references, component mappings, channel differences, states, dates, and acceptance criteria.
- Design variations and states by audience, market, and promotional period, including default, unavailable, and expired states.
- Connect campaigns across the guest journey into booking, loyalty, account, and check-in, and validate presentation with web, iOS, and Android teams.
- Build in accessibility, covering structure, contrast, alt text, focus, text sizing, reflow, and motion, and test with appropriate tools.
- Validate what ships by reviewing real CMS previews and working prototypes, and partner with engineering through release, maintenance, and retirement.
- Work with analytics and experimentation partners to assess campaign performance and act on results.
- Contribute templates, patterns, specs, and AI instructions that others can use independently.
- Proven campaign and content design experience, turning briefs into polished digital experiences with strong visual storytelling, art direction, hierarchy, and typography.
- A portfolio of landing pages, promotions, or marketing experiences that explains design decisions, individual contribution, iteration, and measured outcomes. Product-only UX portfolios are not a strong fit.
- Hands-on experience shipping through a structured or headless CMS, preferably Contentstack (Contentful, Sanity, AEM, Sitecore, or Storyblok accepted), including content models, modular blocks, references, variants, and preview and publishing workflows. Candidates should be able to explain how a content model became a live page.
- Hands-on AI-assisted building experience: has built and modified a functioning interactive experience using tools such as Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, v0, or Figma Make, and can explain the context supplied, how output was inspected, and what was fixed. Static AI-generated screens alone do not qualify.
- Practical design-system experience with component libraries, semantic and design tokens, multi-brand theming, and contribution processes (Storybook or similar documentation).
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, variables, and prototyping.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS (responsive layout, flexbox, grid), JSON, and browser dev tools.
- Experience designing responsive, accessible experiences to WCAG 2.2 AA, including semantic structure, ARIA basics, and testing with axe, Lighthouse, and screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack).
- Awareness of Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design, and platform-specific navigation and text sizing across web, native iOS, and native Android.
- Demonstrated use of research, analytics, or experimentation to improve a design and drive a business outcome.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing useful specs, explaining tradeoffs, taking critique well, and managing defined work independently.
Preferred
- Direct Contentstack experience, including structured authoring, reusable content types, and preview workflows.
- Campaign or promotional design experience in travel, e-commerce, marketplaces, or retail.
- Experience with multi-brand design systems, themes, audience variations, or campaign experimentation.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub or GitLab pull request and review workflows.
- Familiarity with React or Next.js components, including reading and tweaking components.
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, A/B testing tools (Optimizely, Adobe Target), and heatmap tools (Contentsquare, Hotjar).
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Miro, or FigJam.
