Certified Athletic Trainer- Injury Prevention Specialist - PRN

Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic PRN Injury Prevention Specialist / Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our team supporting a fast-paced airport hub at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you. 

 

This dynamic role integrates ergonomics, employee education and coaching, preventive exercise programs, early intervention strategies, and health and wellness services to reduce workplace injuries and enhance overall employee well-being.

 

Certified Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist PRN

Location: 3920 W. Terminal Dr. Salt Lake City, Utah 84122 - Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)

Type of Employment: PRN, as needed

Schedule: Weekends, nights, and potential for some holiday coverage. Weekend shifts are 7AM - 3PM and 1PM - 9PM. Flexibility with weekday shifts. All subject to change over time.

Compensation: $35.00, hourly

Responsibilities

What will you be doing in this role?

• Perform ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop and deliver employee education and perform audits
• Conduct movement assessments and develop preventative exercise programs
• Engage with new hire employees on education, ergonomics, and injury prevention
• Deliver return-to-work program for employees returning from injury
• Provide early symptom intervention (ESI) care for employees
• Provide health and wellness coaching on a wide range of topics

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training
• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification
• Applicable state license where required
• Minimum one year experience as an Athletic Trainer
• CPR certification
• Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

Preferred Qualifications:

• • Master's Degree in Athletic Training
  • Industrial Health experience
