Own and drive website strategy across supported Marmon businesses by translating business and customer needs into actionable digital roadmaps that improve web presence, user experience, engagement, and business outcomes.

Digital Strategist to own the website programme end to end for Marmon businesses. This role sets the direction for how our business websites grow: building the demand and competitive picture for each business, defining the 12 month roadmap and the success measures, and acting as the single named point of contact the business talks to. The person will run discovery with Marmon business marketing and business IT teams, chair the monthly performance review, and own the value story with finance. It is a role for someone who can hold a strategy conversation with a group president in the morning and work through a site backlog with engineers in the afternoon.

 

Mandatory Skills

• 12+ years across digital strategy and digital delivery, with clear ownership of website or digital programmes for B2B or industrial businesses

• Proven ability to build search demand models, competitive positioning and multi year digital visibility plans that link to business KPIs

• Strong stakeholder facilitation and executive communication skills, credible with senior business and marketing leadership

• Working command of the web stack and web analytics, enough to challenge SEO, UX, content and engineering decisions on substance

 

Desired Skills

• Experience running a shared services or global capability centre model across multiple business units

• Exposure to WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify Plus, PIM and API led integration architectures

• Familiarity with AI search, answer engines and LLM visibility as a strategic channel

• Commercial experience with service catalogues, pricing models and vendor or agency comparison

 

Key Responsibilities

• Own the website programme for assigned Marmon businesses from discovery through to measured outcomes

• Run discovery workshops with business marketing and business IT, and translate what you hear into a prioritised roadmap

• Build the audience, demand and competitive picture for each business and define the KPIs the programme will be judged on

• Chair the monthly performance review with the business and present progress, risks and value delivered

• Set scope discipline across the team and say no to work that does not move an agreed metric

• Work with the SEO, content, UX and analytics specialists to sequence their work into one coherent plan

• Support the service catalogue, pricing and onboarding of new businesses into the website capability
