- Troubleshoot installation challenges and make sound technical decisions in the field.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure installations meet local building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and provide a positive customer experience.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience.
- Proven ability to independently lead residential HVAC installations.
- Strong experience installing conventional split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, and gas furnaces.
- Experience installing and commissioning ductless mini-split systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical installation issues.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow manufacturer installation requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform the physical duties of residential HVAC installation, including lifting equipment and working in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, or similar ductless heat pump systems.
- Boiler installation experience.
- Tankless water heater installation experience.
- Light commercial HVAC installation experience.
- Previous experience supervising installation crews or training apprentices.
Who Will Succeed in This Role?
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and doesn't cut corners.
- Can confidently run an installation without constant supervision.
- Understands proper system installation, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, airflow, and commissioning.
