What you’ll be doing...

As a Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives & Business Operations within the Verizon Consumer Group's Base Management, AI Analytics, and Wholesale Executive Operations team, you will serve as a strategic advisor and operational catalyst for senior leadership. You will bridge strategy and execution by partnering with Vice Presidents and cross-functional leaders to identify operational friction, design scalable solutions, and steer initiatives that directly impact business growth.

This role requires an entrepreneurial self-starter who does not wait for a roadmap, but actively identifies opportunities to make the organization more agile and efficient. You will act as a thought partner to senior executives, turning complex data into clear business cases, aligning VP priorities, and leveraging modern AI workflows to streamline enterprise processes.

Core Responsibilities...

• Executive Advisory & Strategic Influence: Act as a strategic thought partner to the SVP and VPs, providing proactive guidance on strategic trade-offs, operating priorities, and initiative feasibility across Loyalty, Wholesale, and AI Analytics portfolios.
• Autonomous Process Architecture & Efficiency: Continuously assess organizational workflows to pinpoint friction and inefficiencies. Autonomously design, champion, and execute modern operational processes and AI-enabled automations that accelerate execution and reduce operational overhead.
• Cross-Functional Governance & Alignment: Drive cohesion across disparate VP organizations; resolve cross-functional bottlenecks, balance competing priorities, and ensure accountability toward unified enterprise goals.
• Business Transformation & Initiative Leadership: Own the lifecycle of high-impact strategic initiatives from concept through value realization, establishing KPIs and operational cadences that measure true business impact rather than just milestone completion.
• Executive Communications & Decision Framing: Architect clear, data-driven executive narratives, strategy memos, and business reviews that frame critical business decisions for executive leadership and external stakeholders.
• Culture of Innovation: Foster operational excellence by mentoring team members, promoting data-backed decision-making, and driving adoption of modern operational methodologies across the business.

Where you'll be working... 

This hybrid role will have a defined work location of Basking Ridge, New Jersey that includes 2 days of work from home and 3 assigned office days as set by the manager. You must live within a commutable distance to this location to be considered for this role.

You are an assertive, analytical, and highly autonomous leader who excels at translating ambiguity into structured action. You possess the executive presence to influence senior leaders, the curiosity to unpack complex processes, and the execution discipline to turn high-level strategic concepts into operational reality.

You'll need to have...

• Bachelor's degree or six or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Six or more years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects within an enterprise environment
• Collaborating with a variety of sales, marketing, executive, and technical stakeholders within a large enterprise organization.
• Storytelling experience that includes stitching together disparate sources of data to create actionable insights and outcomes
• Experience creating polished presentations with Microsoft Powerpoint or Google Slides to communicate with business leadership and executives
• Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
• Experience using AI Platforms to automate manual processes and streamline work
• Experience regularly using Gemini and Notebook LM
• Willingness to travel occasionally <25%, as needed

Even better if you also have one or more of the following...

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree.
• Experience developing corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning.
• Experience analyzing data to support business decisions.
• Experience managing cross-functional enterprise stakeholders.
• Project Management experience in Telecom, AI technology, or wholesale business operations.
• Experience handling confidential strategic business information.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $108,000.00 - $188,000.00.
