Personnel Link Employment Group are recruiting for a Production Supervisor on behalf of a leading print company in Letchworth Garden City.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business operating a modern 24 hour production facility. The company specialises in producing high quality printed materials, retail displays and point of sale solutions for a wide range of customers and continues to invest heavily in both its people and technology.

We are looking for an experienced supervisor who can lead from the front, support their team and help drive performance across a busy night shift operation.

 

About the Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the night shift team across a range of specialist print, cutting and finishing equipment.

The production environment includes multi pass digital flatbed printers, Nozomi digital printers, Kongsberg cutting tables, Elitron cutting systems, CAD controlled cutting equipment and die cutting machinery used to produce a wide range of printed products and display solutions.

You will work closely with machine operators, production staff and management to ensure production targets, quality standards and customer deadlines are consistently achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

 

What You'll Do

• Supervise and support machine operators and production staff throughout the shift

• Monitor production output and ensure production targets are achieved

• Allocate labour and resources effectively across departments

• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process

• Support the training and development of new and existing team members

• Investigate production issues and implement effective solutions

• Complete shift reports and handovers

• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

• Work closely with management to improve productivity and efficiency

• Lead by example and promote a positive team culture

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Supervisor

• Experience within a print, large format print, signage, graphics, manufacturing or industrial production environment would be highly beneficial

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to motivate and develop a team

• Good organisational and problem solving abilities

• Understanding of production processes and quality standards

• Health and safety awareness within a manufacturing environment

• A hands on approach with a willingness to support the team when required

 

Who Might Suit This Role?

This role would suit someone currently working as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Production Team Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Production Lead, Operations Supervisor, Production Coordinator or Production Shift Manager. We would also be interested in speaking with experienced Senior Machine Operators who have previously led teams, trained colleagues or taken responsibility for production performance and are looking to take the next step into a supervisory position.
