Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Courtesy Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with excellent customer service and communication. - Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, and communicate with residents, guests, and/or management regarding security-related matters and property rules.
- Support a respectful residential environment by reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts and following Allied Universal protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
