Laborer

Specific Role:

This General Laborer position plays a vital role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility by supporting and operating a variety of manufacturing equipment as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining production flow, ensuring product quality, and providing operational flexibility across the material processing department to meet daily manufacturing demands.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support daily production requirements across multiple machines.
• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently while meeting production goals.
• Ensure finished products meet EMIT quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate job status updates and production tracking in OSEON.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards while supporting 5S initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple types of production equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to read and follow manufacturing orders, work instructions, and blueprints.
• Basic computer skills and ability to update production status in OSEON or similar systems.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing production priorities and departmental needs.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when required.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Stand, walk, bend, and move continuously during an entire shift.
• Safely operate manufacturing equipment and material handling devices.
• Always use applicable PPE.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols when operating equipment and handling materials.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and help promote a safe work environment.
