Bilingual Medical Assistant

Spanish (required)

(Podiatry Experience A Plus)

Full-time position to work on in the front or back office for our fast paced specialist clinic.

• Maintain accurate patient records
• Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
• Verify insurance benefits/obtain authorizations as needed to process patient for services
• Check patients out
• Faxing and Filing Signatures for home health
• Sending DME orders
• Filling in prescriptions
• Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
• Sending out consult notes to referring providers
• Adding consults in system and In patient surgeries
• Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
• Assist Dr with procedures / Prepare FMLA paper work
• Stock Rooms /Order back office supplies
• Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
• Travel with Dr To remote locations (Carrizo Springs, Beeville, Pearsall, Pleasanton, & Northeast Location) 
• Room patients and enter Chief Complain
• Perform any other duties assigned

Monday Wednesday Friday 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM. Tuesday 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM Friday 07:30 to 1:00 p.m.

Experience with Athena Health is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour
