Highlights:
Summary: Responsible for the provision of breast-feeding education, counseling and care, telephone and outpatient consultation. To support the mother who provides breast-feeding as infant nutritional support. Works closely with the health care team to provide multi-disciplinary services to lactating mothers and their families. Provides education toward planning, implementing and evaluating lactation needs of new parents and their families.Education / Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college preferred. Two years of current lactation education required License / Certification: IBCLC certification required, BLS required, NRP required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
