About the Client
Our client is a leading Australian event management company with approximately 10 staff members, specializing in delivering high-quality, innovative events across various industries. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with strong business analysis skills to join our offshore team. This role involves overseeing our project and event management operations, implementing robust processes, and effectively managing Western teams remotely.
About the Role
The Events Manager leads the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of events that meet client objectives, timelines, and budgets. This role balances creative vision with operational excellence, ensuring each event delivers a high-quality and memorable experience. You will oversee teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure events are executed seamlessly and reflect the brand’s standards.

Work Hours: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Philippine Time (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Australia Time during DST).

Work Set-up: 100% Remote.

Travel: High probability of international travel for on-site event management.
What You’ll Do
Event Strategy & Delivery

Lead end-to-end planning and execution, ensuring delivery aligns with client objectives and budgets.

Translate creative concepts and briefs into detailed event plans and actionable schedules.

Oversee multiple events concurrently, maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
Project & People Management

Directly manage and develop Event Coordinators and Designers, ensuring clear accountability and performance standards.

Develop and manage detailed event timelines, run sheets, and production schedules.

Coordinate cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution.

Allocate resources effectively across projects, balancing workload and development opportunities.
Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary client lead, managing all communication from briefing to post-event reporting.

Build strong, trusted relationships, acting as a strategic partner and advisor.

Collaborate with clients to refine objectives and recommend enhancements to maximize impact.
Financial & Risk Management
-
Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial targets are met.

Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure value for money and profitability.

Identify potential operational risks and develop contingency plans for event delivery.
What You Bring

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in event management; 10+ years is a significant plus.

Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (C1/C2 level) with a neutral accent; must be comfortable leading client meetings independently.

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Canva, as well as MS Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (but not strictly required if experience is extensive).

Traits: A creative, innovative, and solutions-driven mindset with high ownership and a client-centric approach.

Nice-to-have: Knowledge of website management.
