Location: Saint John Hospital – Leavenworth, KS
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist II, internally referred to as our Rad Tech II. Rad Tech II’s will focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures, which involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. You may also work in the CT area, assisting when needed. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.
Responsibilities
** You must have some experience in CT and Mammography to move forward in this position.
- Operate advanced mammography and X-ray equipment to ensure precise imaging and optimal diagnostic outcomes
- Responsible for ensuring that CT and Mammo equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
- Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
- Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
- Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images, be able to perform C-Arm for fluoroscopic imaging and understand the fluoroscopy imaging techniques
Qualifications
- Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State
- Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required
- Current BCLS (AHA)
- Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
- One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferrred
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred
- Proficient computer skills
