Part-Time & Full-Time Positions
Whether you're seeking a small or large Part-Time schedule (5-30 hours/week) or a Full-Time schedule (32-40 hours/week), HCN Aides have opportunities to:
- Accept 1 or multiple clients
- Specify available days & hours per day (+ blackout days/times) from which we build your schedule
- Custom travel parameters (may limit hours available)
- Ease in Occasional flexible scheduling to accommodate holidays / personal commitments of employee and client
- Reassignment (as available) should client requirements or availability change
- Qualified RNCMs seeking >20/wk Part-Time hours or Full-Time hours (32-40/wk) may be required to start with fewer hours per week to support immediate-need clients and build up to desired total hours/schedule within 60 days. HCN will seek available new cases on your behalf, and you will have first priority for any existing or new cases that arise in your target geography.
Whether assigned to care for existing HCN clients, new HCN clients, family member clients, or to support the continuity of care for past clients (when appropriate), we understand the importance of trusted caregiver-client relationships and create smooth transitions and lasting, predictable schedules for both caregivers and clients.
PRN Opportunities
Whether you're solely seeking a PRN / As-Needed position or are interested in additional hours beyond your Part-Time or Full-Time schedule, HCN nurses may have opportunities to accept:
- PRN client visits
- Coverage for vacations and leaves
- Additional private duty cases
- RNCM / Recert shadowing for on-the-job training and advancement
- Supplemental nursing assignments
- This role is best suited for individuals who desire flexibility and can accommodate a schedule that changes based on client needs.
PRN work is based upon agency and client needs and is never guaranteed. Participation is optional.
For the right candidate, this position can serve as a flexible way to maintain clinical practice while earning additional income.
*For those seeking only PRN, please note that: Hours vary significantly from week to week while some weeks may offer multiple available shifts, or limited hours, or no available hours at all. No minimum number of hours is guaranteed for PRN positions.
Friendly Travel Expectations
- For PT/FT Positions: Willingness to travel to and from all client residences to provide care during scheduled, agreed-upon dates and times, up to at least a 60-minute radius, is required is required.
- Your service area is based upon client-specific locations and your acceptance to support them.
- Clients are typically sought to reside within 0-60 minutes of your home, and willingness to cover clients up to a 2-hour radius is highly preferred, especially if additional hours / additional clients are desired (not required).
- For PRN Shifts / Positions: up to a 60-minute radius (from your home) is required, and willingness to cover clients up to a 2-hour radius is highly desired.
- Interested in Nursing as a "Road Warrior"?
- Travel is required as needed to all clients throughout North-Central Ohio (approx. 2-hour radius service area).
- Typical travel distances include a 60-minute radius daily + up to 2 hours on occasion.
- Door-to-Door mileage reimbursement provided.
- Qualified applicants may reside in or near any part of the service areas so long as travel requirements are fulfilled.
Typical Shift Availability
Most available assignments occur during:
- Weekdays (Monday through Friday)
- Morning start times typically between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
- Afternoon/evening end times typically between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM
- Weekend opportunities may occasionally become available but are not guaranteed.
- Overnight opportunities are rare.
Shift lengths and schedules vary by client and assignment, and may vary day-to-day, week-to-week for PRN Caregivers.
Starting Pay
LPN: $28 - $32 per hour
RN: $35 - $38 per hour
RNCM / Supervisor: $38 - $40 per hour

This role works closely with and reports directly to our NW OH RN Program Administrator (local) and Director of Clinical & Administrative Operations (statewide).

DON), Business Administrator, QA / Compliance leadership, and other positions.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Ohio LPN or RN license in good standing
- Home health, private duty, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, or other relevant nursing experience
- Ability to work independently in a client's home environment
- Possess a strong track record of attendance, dependability, and employment retention with previous employers
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current driver's license or state-issued identification
- Reliable transportation
- Active CPR and First Aid certification preferred (agency assistance available if needed)
- Willingness and Ability to perform all Essential Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping/bending, infrequent squatting/kneeling, and balancing, occasional sitting.
- Weight handled: push/pull force required: 1-20 lbs. frequently, 20-30 lbs. occasionally, 30-50 lbs. infrequently; carry/lift:1-20 lbs. frequently, 20-30 lbs. occasionally, 30-50 lbs. infrequently.
