Senior System Designer / Solution Architect

Senior System Designer / Solution Architect
London. Three days per week onsite.

Some spaces stay with people long after they've left. A stadium at full roar, a gallery that responds as visitors move through it, a destination where the technology disappears into the experience. This practice designs the systems behind those moments.

They're an independent audiovisual, acoustic, and creative design consultancy working globally across sports, entertainment, cultural destinations, live events, and immersive environments, with projects delivered at some of the world's most high-profile sports and entertainment venues. Acoustics, engineering, architecture and creative design sit under one roof, brought together to shape how people experience physical space. Independence matters here. Decisions are made in the building by the people doing the work, and the practice answers to its clients rather than a group board.

The portfolio runs from major venues and visitor attractions to interactive installations and experiential environments. Technically demanding, creatively led, and built. The practice is hiring a Senior System Designer/Solution Architect to uphold that standard.

The role

As Senior System Designer / Solution Architect, you hold design authority for complex AV systems from concept through to handover. The technical architecture is yours to define, defend and deliver, across projects that change shape from one commission to the next.

That means shaping solutions at concept stage, developing schematics and hardware layouts, walking sites, pressure-testing feasibility, and staying with the design until it's commissioned. You'll work alongside acousticians, engineers and creative designers who are strong in their own disciplines and expect the same of yours.

What's in it for you

Genuine design authority. Yours is the name on the system architecture. You define it, make the case to clients, and see it through to commissioning. No handing your thinking to a delivery team halfway through.

Landmark projects. Stadiums, museums, cultural destinations, immersive installations, including some of the most recognisable venues in world sport and entertainment. Projects people still ask you about years later, and that the public queues to experience.

Range that keeps you sharp. Different sectors, scales and technical problems, one after another. The variety is structural, so the work never settles into repetition.

A voice that carries weight. Your proposals go into client conversations and business development. Your experience reshapes internal process. Senior people here are expected to change how the practice works, and are listened to when they do.

Built outcomes and real progression. Your designs become physical spaces the public uses, and the practice promotes from within, so there's a clear route into practice leadership.

What you'll do

As the Senior System Designer / Solution Architect, you will:

• Own the technical structure of projects end to end, from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Produce hardware layouts, system schematics and technical documentation in AutoCAD.
• Conduct site surveys and translate findings into practical, buildable solutions.
• Validate and refine designs against client needs, functionality and feasibility, keeping bills of materials and documentation tight.
• Contribute technical thinking to proposals, client discussions and the practice's own ways of working.

What you'll bring

The successful Senior System Designer / Solution Architect will bring:

• Five or more years in AV system design or solution architecture, with work you're proud to show.
• Strong CAD skills and fluency in AV and technical drawings.
• Deep familiarity with AV solution design and integration.
• The organisational discipline to run several technically demanding projects at once.

You'll thrive here if

You want your judgement trusted. You'd rather explain a system you designed than manage one you inherited. And you care about how a space feels when the public walks in, not just whether the racks are tidy.
