How You’ll Make a Difference
At Briggs Truck & Rail, this isn't just about managing parts. It's about building an operation that our technicians, customers, and team can count on.
You'll take ownership of our Gainesville parts department, improving inventory accuracy, strengthening warehouse operations, and creating the foundation for long-term growth. You'll have the opportunity to introduce new vendors, expand our parts offerings, and help grow our business.
We're looking for someone who leads by example, brings fresh ideas, and takes pride in helping others succeed. If you're the kind of leader who sees an opportunity to make something better and gets excited about making it happen, you'll feel right at home here.
What You’ll Do
- Build and improve our parts operation by organizing the warehouse, improving inventory accuracy, managing stock levels, and creating efficient processes that keep our technicians and customers moving.
- Lead, coach, and develop your team, setting clear expectations, encouraging accountability, and creating a safe, supportive environment where people can do their best work.
- Drive parts sales and business growth by building customer relationships, developing vendor partnerships, expanding product offerings, and identifying opportunities in new markets.
- Own department performance by managing monthly sales goals, inventory turnover, cycle counts, purchasing, and operational improvements while delivering dependable customer service.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of parts or warehouse operations experience, ideally in Class A trucking, heavy-duty equipment, or a related industry, along with 3–5 years of people leadership experience.
- Strong inventory management skills and the ability to bring organization, accuracy, and efficiency to a growing operation.
- A driven, adaptable leadership style with a willingness to roll up your sleeves, solve problems, hold people accountable, and help your team grow.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, comfort working with warehouse and inventory systems, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
- A chance to build something meaningful. You'll have the opportunity to shape a growing department, make improvements that last, and see the impact of your leadership firsthand.
- A team that genuinely has your back. You'll work alongside hardworking people who value safety, teamwork, honesty, and helping each other succeed.
- Over 130 years of strength and stability. You'll be part of a company with deep roots, a reputation built on integrity, and an exciting future full of opportunity.
At Briggs Truck & Rail, we're not just looking for someone to manage a department. We're looking for someone who wants to build a great one. If you're ready to lead with purpose, take ownership, and grow alongside a team that cares, we'd love to meet you.
