Overview

If you're a college student, Pfizer Futures is your chance to gain real-world, impactful work experience for 10-12 weeks during the summer. This U.S. program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to grow and develop into the next Pfizer Colleague.

 

With opportunities across the Enterprise, Pfizer Futures interns will support their division's goals and initiatives while building relationships and learning about Pfizer.

 

The 2027 Pfizer Futures application portal will be open from October 5th to November 8th, 2026.

 

Applications and placements for this program are reviewed on a rolling basis. Interview and hiring timelines differ by division.

Responsibilities

Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) has developed a sophisticated, robust, and agile manufacturing infrastructure by investing in research and development with the sole purpose of getting crucial medicines to patients in need. PGS has 36 manufacturing sites worldwide with ~31,000 colleagues and contractors around the globe.

 

Global Biopharma Manufacturing (GBM): Operates Pfizer's global manufacturing network for biopharmaceutical and small molecule medicines, including Biotech, Small Molecule, and Local Site Operations. Focused on safely and reliably delivering medicines to patients worldwide.

Global Hospital & Biosimilars (GH&B): Manages Pfizer’s global portfolio of hospital medicines, sterile injectables, and biosimilars through an integrated commercial and manufacturing organization. Focused on delivering essential medicines to patients worldwide while optimizing operations, supply, and business performance.

Global Supply Chain is comprised of 5 highly integrated teams, Regional Supply Operations and Customer Service, Planning Processes and Operations, Intercompany Operations, Global Supply Chain Business Units, Performance and Capabilities. This team orchestrates the delivery of hundreds of products across thousands of SKUs to patients in over 100 countries. 

Quality, Safety and Biotech Operations (QSEO) team drives quality, environment, health, and safety operations of the manufacturing facilities globally. Keeping a sharp focus on quality and safety all to deliver breakthroughs that change patients' lives.   

Global Technology, Engineering and Launch (GTEL) is a Technology Centers of Excellence in clinical supply, analytical, chemistry, biological, devices/combination products, engineering and project management in support of major investigations, tech transfers, capital projects execution/planning and leading innovation of breakthrough technologies to optimize our network and accelerate new product introduction. 

External Supply (ES) network manufactures, supplies and distributes quality medicines and consumer products to patients and consumers around the world, in support of Pfizer's Purpose. The ES team is organized to manage Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) portfolios by Business Unit (Hospital, Internal Medicine, Vaccines, Specialty) and Platforms (API, Emerging & Local Markets, New Products).

PGS Business Operations, Innovation & IMEx: Leads key capabilities that enhance operational excellence across Pfizer Global Supply, including business operations, innovation, performance excellence, and Integrated Manufacturing Excellence (IMEx). Focused on improving performance, simplifying how work gets done, accelerating innovation, and driving a consistent approach to manufacturing excellence across PGS.

 

Examples of Past Projects:• PCT Lead Intern — supported continuous improvement, business standards (IMEx), and CI goal delivery across manufacturing teams.• OpEx Intern — applied continuous improvement and data-driven problem-solving methods to real business challenges at the Andover site.• Regulatory Change Control Dashboard — built a dashboard evaluating market reportability decisions and consolidating regulatory reporting requirements across major markets.• Filling Process Engineer Intern — supported 3D printing and CAD modeling to improve equipment reliability in aseptic manufacturing.• Manufacturing Quality Operations Intern — supported GMP-compliant batch record review, deviations, CAPA tracking, and AI-supported trend analysis.• Supply Chain Business Support Intern — supported SAP Single Source of Truth projects and inventory/capacity analysis.• SEO Summer Intern — supported environmental, health, and safety topics including air pollution inventory and an AI waste identification tool.

 

Other information:• Eligible Pfizer Futures interns in this division will be eligible to apply for a rotational program opportunity in the Fall.• Internship start date: Tuesday, June 1, 2027

Minimum Qualifications

• Be immediately authorized to work in the U.S. This Program cannot support applicants who require employer sponsored visas now or in the future.• Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a full-time university program (an accredited college / university degree program at the time of application)• Be at least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date• Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of the most recently completed semester. Note: For R&D roles, a minimum GPA of 3.3 is required.• Be able to commute to a Pfizer location 4+ days a week. Please note, some lab/manufacturing roles may require additional on-site days

Preferred Qualifications

• Studying applicable degree (Supply Chain, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering, Biochemistry, Business Administration)• Junior or Senior students preferred

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.

 

Pay Rate Range: $26/hr to $29/hr
