Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Regional Growth Leadership: Meet and exceed area growth expectations through strategic sales initiatives and targeted market penetration.
- Own bookings, renewal, and pipeline targets across the Central Area territory, spanning new logo, expansion, and renewal motions across all CA product lines.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Become an authority on the company’s programs, understanding the challenges faced by educators at various levels, and staying abreast of the latest educational trends at local, state, and national levels.
- Personnel Management: Demonstrate effective personnel management by recruiting, training, coaching, motivating, and managing a team of Sales Directors, fostering their professional development and maximizing their potential and driving performance management, territory planning, and pipeline discipline.
- Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with high-level school district leaders in targeted accounts, positioning Curriculum Associates as a trusted partner in educational advancement.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling and impactful sales presentations, effectively articulating the value proposition of Curriculum Associates' digital and print-based products to key stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Cultivate successful working relationships with internal stakeholders including but not limited to service, research, marketing, and product development teams, ensuring alignment and synergy across departments.
- Sales Strategy Development: Supervise and monitor the development and implementation of sales plans and strategies, leveraging multiple resources to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Collaborate cross-functional with Marketing, Partner Success, Professional Learning, Legal, and Finance to support the full customer lifecycle.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, with a focus on education or related industries.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding revenue targets in a competitive market environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success in recruiting, training, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a keen understanding of market dynamics.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field
- Understanding of the education landscape within identified territory
- 5+ years successful sales or management experience in within education market
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency demonstrating digital/technology solutions
- Previous experience in assessment and curriculum adoptions is preferred
- Experience in a SaaS-based sales environment is preferred
- Established relationships with district leaders within the assigned territory is preferred
Travel: >80%, both driving and flying; some overnight travel required
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $126,750 - $233,750. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
