Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Modeling & Simulation Programs Lead sets the strategic direction and roadmap for GE Vernova's enterprise-wide modeling and simulation capability within Supply Chain Development. This role owns the vision for how simulation (2D, 3D, and digital twin) is deployed across Greenfield and Brownfield capital projects, builds and leads the simulation talent organization (EDGE team and dotted line Simulation Engineers in BUs), and serves as the primary interface between simulation strategy and executive capital allocation decisions. The role blends strategic capability-building with direct executive engagement, positioning simulation as a core lever in GE Vernova's site investment and operational excellence strategy.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Define and evolve the enterprise simulation strategy — encompassing Greenfield, Brownfield, 2D, and 3D/DES simulation capabilities
    • Serve as the simulation voice in capital allocation discussions, advising GEV Capital Allocation Leader, the Capital Allocation SteerCo and the broader SCD leadership team.
    • Lead engagement with the Operational Excellence Team to expand simulation methods (e.g., 3D/DES) into new use cases. Own the roadmap for scaling simulation cohorts and training programs across the enterprise
  • Organizational:
    • Build & Talent Design and build the EDGE simulation team, including job architecture, hiring plans, and org structure
    • Co-recruit, develop, and retain top simulation engineering talent across Business and Greenfield simulation roles
    • Establish career pathing and capability development for the simulation function
  • Program & Portfolio Governance:
    • Prioritize and sequence Greenfield/Brownfield simulation initiatives in partnership with capital allocation and GSC leadership
    • Sponsor and guide execution of major simulation programs & kaizens through the Simulation PMO function
  • Cross-Functional Alignment:
    • Partner with Lean Leaders and Plant Leaders to align simulation strategy with operational vision
    • Drive digital harmonization efforts, ensuring simulation tools/data integrate with broader digital transformation initiatives
    • Represent simulation strategy in VSM alignment discussions and other enterprise governance forums

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Major experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or lean/operations excellence roles
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams
  • Demonstrated lean background — VSM, kaizen facilitation, flow design, or equivalent hands-on experience in an industrial setting
  • Proven track record running a program or functional PMO: pipeline management, multi-stakeholder coordination, and executive reporting
  • Leadership Program Alumnus is a plus

Desired Characteristics

  • Familiarity with simulation concepts (2D DES, digital twin) — direct modeling experience is not required, but credibility with technical teams is
  • Experience working with or across Industry 4.0, automation, or digital technology functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication — able to communicate with the ELT and run regular reviews with GSC leaders
  • Ability to build structure where none exists: define the process, then run it
  • Project management tools fluency
  • Cross-segment or cross-functional experience within a large industrial or manufacturing organization
