Global FP&A P&L Lead at a Glance….
This is one of the highest-exposure seats in Kraft Heinz FP&A. You own the total-company P&L story: how Kraft Heinz measures, explains, and steers performance across every region and function. When leadership asks “how are we tracking, and why,” the answer runs through you.
You’ll consolidate the global view, pressure-test the drivers, and turn complex financial results into a clear, decision-ready narrative for company leadership. Much of what the CFO and the Finance Leadership Team see, and what ultimately reaches the Board and the earnings either originates from or passes through this role. It demands range: the judgment to see the whole company, and the precision to get every number right.
You’ll report into Global FP&A leadership with direct, recurring exposure to the CFO and the broader Finance Leadership Team. This is a leadership-and-influence role – you’ll set the pace across regions and functions, earning alignment through clarity, credibility, and command of the numbers.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite weekly at our office in Chicago.
What’s on the menu?
- Own total-company performance reporting. Consolidate and analyze region-level actuals and forecasts into a single, coherent global view of the P&L down to Net Income, with risks and opportunities clearly framed.
- Lead performance measurement. Track results against AOP, guidance, consensus, and commitments; validate key accruals and account balances (e.g., bonus payout, share-based comp, central hedge) to ensure financial statement integrity alongside Controllership.
- Create board- and earnings-grade materials. Design and build the leadership / board-level reports, dashboards, and narratives, support quarterly earnings content, internal communications from townhalls to leadership conferences – translate complex results into clear, actionable stories for senior audiences.
- Run the forecasting rhythm. Manage regional-level forecasting routines, set best practices, and maintain rolling forecasts through AOP closure to keep the global view current and reliable. Build scenario and sensitivity views that frame risks and opportunities and support strategic decisions.
- Partner on earnings and IR. Work closely with External Reporting and Investor Relations through the quarterly close, providing the analysis and reconciliations that support earnings materials and the external narrative.
- Continuous improvement. Partner with GFIN/GSST and Finance Transformation to deliver system enhancements, automation, and durable models, tools, and templates that raise the quality and speed of FP&A.
- Lead and grow the team of finance professionals you're proud of, with a clear focus on capability-building and retention.
- Financial scope: total global P&L of ~$25B NSV / ~$5B OI / ~$3B Net Income — with a direct hand in the consolidation of the company forecast, including risks and opportunities.
- Impact: global, cross-functional influence spanning Investor Relations, Controllership, Tax, GBE Ops and ZBB, Communications and the Performance Team, and regional FP&A counterparts across three regions.
- Leadership: directly lead a team of two (manager and senior analyst) and indirectly steer the regional FP&A teams through the monthly business cycle: aligning and coordinating planning and reporting across the company.
- Time split: ~30% strategy and ~70% execution.
Recipe for Success – apply now if this sounds like you!
- Total-company perspective. You can hold the whole P&L: seeing how regions, functions, and one-offs roll up while catching details that change the answer.
- FP&A and reporting depth. Strong command of financial close, consolidation, forecasting, and performance measurement in a global, complex business.
- Senior-stakeholder presence. You can take a complicated performance story and make it land with various audiences, from the Board / leadership team and senior stakeholders to general company-wide audience. You need to be clear, concise, and decision-oriented.
- Precision under pressure. Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of getting the numbers right when the timelines are tight and the audience is senior.
- Influencing across. You align regions and functions through credibility, clarity, and command of the facts.
- Experience & credentials. 7+ years in finance, including team leadership; Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
- Systems & data fluency. Hands-on experience with SAP/HFM for consolidation, Power BI for visibility, and AI analytics tools.
- A builder's leadership style. You attract and retain talent because you give your team real ownership, real coaching, and a reason to stay.
- Higher Learning. You possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher with excellent academic credentials
