JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Steady Aero Thermal Research Turbine (START) Lab within the Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a part-time Research Engineer. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty and staff on a variety of federally funded and industry-sponsored projects supporting a state-of-the-art turbine test laboratory focused on sustainable propulsion and power generation technologies.
Job duties include:
- Supporting research activities related to the design, testing, and analysis of turbine systems and associated technologies.
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Candidates should possess strong communication and technical skills and typically hold a master's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field
Due to the nature of the research conducted in the laboratory, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
