Description

Overview

A warm, loving family of 3 in East Midtown, Manhattan, is seeking a kind, nurturing, and engaging part-time Nanny/Housekeeper or Mother’s Helper to support their household and care for their 16-month-old daughter.

The primary focus will be on the child, who is curious, active, and on the move, enjoying exploring her surroundings, learning new things, and developing her independence. The ideal candidate will be genuinely passionate about early childhood development and enjoy getting down on the floor to play, teach, and engage with her throughout the day.

The family is looking for a friendly and responsible individual who is happy to become part of their family’s support system. This role combines attentive childcare with light housekeeping, laundry, and simple cooking for the child and, ideally, simple cooking or meal prep for the family. A separate housekeeper handles the deep cleaning, so the household duties will focus on maintaining tidiness and keeping things organized.

Mom is a stay-at-home parent, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable taking direction, communicating openly, and working collaboratively within a family environment.

The general schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 8am to 6pm. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday are also an option. The family may also consider Sundays instead of Saturdays for the right candidate.

The family is hoping to find a wonderful, grounded, and engaging person who will enjoy supporting the child’s growth while helping the household run smoothly

This position is open to local candidates only.
