SUMMARY: The Project Coordinator works as an integral part of the Project Team. The Project Coordinator will perform, but is not limited to, the following duties: assist with oversight of project, staff supervision and training, management of fiscal budget, collaborate with community providers and project representatives to adhere to contract compliance. This position may require a flexible schedule including 1st and 2nd shifts. The Agency has the right to change shifts based on the needs of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Position Specific Duties:
- Assist with conducting regularly scheduled staff meetings; in-service training and supervision with assigned personnel.
- Conduct confidential, quality assessments that are gender and culturally responsive and trauma informed.
- Perform direct services when necessary.
- Provide ongoing consultations and crisis intervention.
- Assist with program planning, development and other management functions.
- Assist in the effective implementation and operations of the Project’s evidence-based practices, services, and interventions.
- Supports evaluation efforts and achievement of goals and objectives.
- Aids in oversight of fiscal budget and electronic health record data.
- Assists with developing system-linkages and referral processes with partners and other community-based providers.
- Attend, organize, lead and assist with various outside meetings to coordinate and benefit Project services and objectives.
- Attends relevant professional development conferences and make presentations to staff.
- Assists with completing and submitting programmatic and fiscal reports in compliance with funder(s).
- Supports the compliance, accuracy and quality of documentation.
- Ensures standards of confidentiality in handling records, collaboration with other providers, and internal communication.
- Supports compliance with funder(s) requirements and regulatory, and licensing standards.
- Constructively utilize formal and informal customer comments to evaluate and improve effectiveness in providing services.
- Ability to climb three flights of stairs to deal with emergencies.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations by placing calls to Fire, Rescue, Police, and Medical, etc.
Administrative Tasks:
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform program recordkeeping and filing and organize vital documents.
- Provide telephone coverage for the assigned program and direct calls to other programs as needed.
- Participate in required supervisions, staff meetings and trainings.
- Participate and cooperate in any investigations conducted by internal and external agencies.
- Ability to use a computer including inputting information into the electronic health record.
Compliance Requirements:
- Remain awake during your shift at all times.
- Attend all mandatory trainings and update all licenses and certifications.
- Adhere to program/project/department requirements and services.
- Follow all reporting guidelines by deadlines including the completion of a Confidential Incident Report.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The Project Coordinator must perform each essential function satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge/skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences from an accredited college or preferred or is a licensed (LADC)/certified (CADAC) drug counselor or is the process of obtaining licensure.
- Minimum of five years of related work experience providing services to those affected by substance use and mental health disorders and homelessness.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in leadership and management.
- Good working knowledge of computers, electronic health records and data collection.
- Requires valid driver’s license due to business-related travel at least 30% of the time
