Summary
Fire Creek Services Company, an All Native Group company, is seeking a HVAC Technician to perform specialized diagnostics, repair and refrigerant service on heating and cooling systems in barracks and housing facilities on the installation, and support seasonal preventive maintenance and condition-monitoring alerts. This is an immediate opening.
Essential Functions
- Diagnose and repair heating and cooling failures; perform refrigerant service and keep required refrigerant records.
- Complete seasonal and manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance.
- Respond to diagnostics triggered by sensors and building automation system (BAS) alarms.
- Train Zone Technicians on first-response HVAC checks.
- Document work on the mobile app and recommend repair or replacement with supporting evidence.
- Recover and reclaim refrigerant with approved equipment and keep refrigerant handling and leak-repair records in accordance with EPA Section 608.
- Perform load, airflow and static-pressure checks and electrical diagnostics (voltage, amperage, capacitors, motors and controls).
- Follow the IMC, manufacturer specifications and safe work practices, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE and ladder safety.

Work Environment
Field-based work in barracks and housing facilities, including roofs, attics, mechanical rooms and occupied residential rooms.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Lifting up to 50 lb.
- Climbing ladders and working on roofs, in attics and in mechanical rooms.
- Exposure to heat, cold and outdoor weather.
- Driving a service vehicle between buildings.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time and part-time positions available. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, daytime. Shifts may require some evening or weekend work, and this position participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency escalations as duty lead.
Travel
Daily local travel between buildings on the installation.
Experience
- 5+ years of commercial or multifamily HVAC service experience (split systems, PTACs, heat pumps, air handlers and controls).
Preferred:
- BAS and thermostat controls experience.
- Refrigerant management recordkeeping.
- Condensate and indoor air quality diagnostics.
- Experience with airflow and static-pressure testing.
- Experience reading HVAC control and wiring diagrams.
- Experience working on Department of Defense (DoD) installations, contracts or programs is a plus.
Education
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- EPA 608 Universal certification required.
- OSHA 10 certification required.
- Kentucky HVAC journeyman license (or ability to obtain) preferred.
- NATE certification preferred.
- Must provide own HVAC hand tools; gauges and recovery equipment are provided.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain installation access.
