About the Role:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for successfully delivering IT projects for global teams, stakeholders, and customers, supporting organizational effectiveness, stronger IT/business partnerships, and improved return on investment.
The role oversees the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects in accordance with the IT Project Management Office (PMO)’s project classifications and approved methodologies. This includes coordinating cross-functional resources, managing risks and issues, processing change requests, communicating project dependencies, and leading global project teams to achieve defined objectives within scope, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects involving global team members across multiple time zones, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and budget.
- Follow established project management methodologies and create, maintain, and organize project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, organizational charts, change requests, and closure documentation.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and deliver projects aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with AE team members, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement project communication strategies that support effective change management, stakeholder engagement, and timely communication of project status, milestones, and key developments.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and control risks and issues associated with project activities.
- Proactively manage project changes by adjusting processes in accordance with project, departmental, and organizational compliance requirements.
- Facilitate effective project meetings through structured agendas, minutes/recaps, and recordings to maintain information flow and project progress.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, minimize rework, and optimize project delivery processes.
- Develop and maintain a post-GoLive support model in collaboration with the project team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience managing multiple projects, ranging from small to large-scale initiatives involving system and business change.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with experience providing regular updates to company executives.
- Willingness and flexibility to work with global stakeholders and team members across multiple time zones.
- Proficiency in project management, organization, and data presentation tools, including Smartsheet, Jira, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience working as part of global teams and effectively managing time zone constraints.
- Strong understanding of project meeting planning and facilitation.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships across different organizational levels and departments.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather and evaluate data to identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions that keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Experience driving moderately to highly complex initiatives, including projects requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility, to support strategic IT and business objectives.
- Experience implementing change management strategies, including ensuring stakeholders and project teams are trained and prepared to adopt new processes and systems.
Good to Have Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, concerns, and insights to stakeholders and executive/senior management.
- Willingness to continuously develop project management capabilities and stay current with emerging technologies, including AI.
- Experience with Change Management principles and methodologies.
- Experience working with third-party contractors assigned to project teams.
