Our Engineering team is looking for the right team member to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Senior Process Engineer (Chemistry), you will apply proven engineering principles to implement, characterize, improve, and validate manufacturing processes used in scaling up new or existing products.

Where you come in:

• You will develop and lead the execution of Design of Experiments (DOEs) in Dexcom’s manufacturing processes
• You will develop SME knowledge on CQAs, CPPs and CMAs of Dexcom’s manufacturing processes
• You will work on analytical test method development for raw material and finished product characterization
• You will compile, trend, and evaluate test data to characterize process variables and define process limits
• You will prepare technical documentation including protocols, reports, procedures, study summaries, and inputs to risk documentation such as pFMEAs.
• You will be responsible for troubleshooting all equipment, raw material, process, or finished product line down issues that may occur in manufacturing operations
• You will partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Automation, Software, and other Engineering teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and support implementation of new processes
• You will participate in design reviews, process reviews, failure investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities for new and existing products/processes
• This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned

What makes you successful:

• You will have a deep understanding of analytical test method development, validations, small molecule and polymer formulation development (or related)
• Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, data visualization, root cause analysis, or statistical software such as JMP, Minitab, Python, Excel, or equivalent tools is preferred.
• Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear technical protocols, reports and procedures

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years' experience.

The annualised base salary for this position is from €63,665.00 to €82,390.00 gross. Final offer will depend on your qualifications, competencies, and professional experience.
