The Data Center Electrical Systems Engineer is a strategic engineering role within Eaton’s Global Data Centre organisation, responsible for evaluating emerging technologies, developing future infrastructure and supporting the evolution of next-generation mission critical systems.

Working alongside Global Solutions Architects, Engineering and Product Management, the role applies engineering expertise, technology foresight to assess future trends, validate new concepts and influence Eaton’s long-term technical direction.

The role is primarily focused on future capability development rather than design delivery, while maintaining a strong engineering foundation through technical evaluation, validation and engineering studies.

## What you’ll do:

• Provide technical engineering leadership and expertise in the design and development of LV, MV, UPS, energy storage and other applicable data centre electrical systems and solutions.
• And Conduct detailed technical engineering analyses and provide recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
• Focussed on early Eaton system approvals by vendors (AVL) for programmatic buys by using technical engineering skillset.
• Adhoc supports on technical engineering system design support for customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design & Bid, engineering, operations, and Business, to ensure the successful implementation of electrical projects using innovative engineering solutions to address complex challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design.
• Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of electrical design and implementation.
• Working with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes.
• Defining project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases.
• Drive innovation and push boundaries in Eaton’s Data Centres design offering by staying up-to-date with the latest research, industry trends and technologies.
• This an external facing role and the candidate will be representing Eaton as an Industry solutions expert. The person needs to develop trusted and influential relationships with Clients, Consultants, Partners and Industry peers.
• Contribute & Support marketing campaigns & activities that can promote Eaton to Client relations and business.
• Ability to work on concurrent projects.
• Support for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed.

## Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical / electronics engineering
• +8 years' experience in Data center systems design engineering

## Skills:

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a strong technical advisory approach.
• Familiarity and experience working to NPFA 70 & UL design standards is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
