• Ability to safety operate machinery and maintain equipment and tools.  
• Knowledge of the use and care of tools and small engine operations and maintenance. 
• Possess an ability to learn and grow with job demands.
• Ability to listen, follow directions, and quickly learn new tasks.
• Will communicate with staff and superiors issues and ideas to remedy and improve our parks.
• To work safely and efficiently while being aware of the surroundings.
• Can work alternate schedules that may include evenings and/or weekends.
• Punctuality, and regular, reliable attendance is required. 
• Professionally represent the City of Tumwater Parks Department.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to provide quality customer service to all.

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license. Requires the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check. This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon successful drug and alcohol screening.

Position is for six months and the work schedule may vary slightly but will generally be 8 hour days, 5 days a week. Work is outside in all kinds of weather.  Weekend work is required. Must be able to work with little supervision.
