SCHEDULE:

Rotating weekends required.

Shifts worked M-F: 8a-4:30p/8:30a-5p

Shifts worked Sat/Sun: 7a-3:30p

The Pediatric Feeding Preparation Technician prepares and delivers specialized infant, pediatric, and adolescent formulas and human milk feedings in accordance with physician orders and dietitian instructions. The role ensures accuracy, compliance, and safety in formula and milk preparation while supporting nutrition education, patient screening, and multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient outcomes.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of experience working in a nutrition, dietitian, food service, or related healthcare role is required.

  • Must be able to use mathematical calculations to scale and convert recipes for milk preparation.

OR

  • An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a nutrition, dietitian, food service, or related healthcare field may be substituted for the required education and experience.

  • Must be able to use mathematical calculations to scale and convert recipes for milk preparations.

  • Must have knowledge of and the ability to use weights and measures tools and equipment for milk preparation.

  • Must have knowledge of and the ability to use weights and measures tools and equipment for milk preparation.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • Must have and maintain a valid Texas Food Handlers Card.

  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, and maintain a Texas Food Handler’s Certification and a ServSafe Food Handler’s Certification.
