PHARMACY INTERN
VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist Intern for The Pharmacy at Allies for Health+ Wellbeing Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. This opportunity is perfect for a Pharmacy student with a PA board of pharmacy Intern license, who enjoys interacting with their patients and who is looking to broaden their pharmacy career. Estimated Pay: $22-$24 p/h based on year in pharmacy school, we will also consider any prior technician experience too.
Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge for adjudicating claims and filling prescriptions efficiently.
- Accept written prescriptions or refill requests from patients and evaluating information for completeness and accuracy.
- Record medical histories while maintaining confidentially and compliance with HIPPA regulations.
- Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests.
- Select and count appropriate medication, place in appropriate container, create pharmacy label, and places completed prescription in area for pharmacist to verify.
- Participate in inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies.
Qualifications
- Must have an active Pharmacist Intern license with the PA Board of Pharmacy.
- Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience preferred.
- Retail Pharmacy experience preferred.
- A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
- In good standing with the PA Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
- Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
