About your role
As an Assistant Manager in UI Design, you will lead end‑to‑end visual design for assigned workstreams, ensuring high craft quality, consistency and brand alignment. You will help shape the evolution of UI design systems, guide junior designers, and collaborate closely with UX, product and engineering partners. You are expected to uplift interface quality across platforms while promoting best‑practice visual design methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UI design for key product features or modules, delivering complete interface solutions from concept to execution
- Produce polished UI screens, interaction visuals, motion guidelines and detailed specifications
- Strengthen and expand the design system by creating new components, visual patterns and documentation
- Ensure consistency across typography, colour systems, layout grids, iconography and motion
- Conduct visual QA and partner closely with engineers to uphold design quality during implementation
- Guide junior UI designers through feedback, coaching and design reviews
- Collaborate with UX designers to unify interaction logic and visual clarity
- Support usability studies by designing high‑fidelity prototypes and refining visuals based on insights
- Contribute to team workflows, process improvements and cross‑team design alignment
- Stay current with visual design trends, tooling, accessibility standards and platform guidelines
Experience and Qualifications Required
- At least 5+ years UX/UI experience including Mobile APP and responsive website design
- Expert skills in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, Principle, ProtoPie etc
- Proficient in design systems
- Ability to gather, synthesis, understand and communicate customer needs, motivations and behaviors and translate them into Digital experiences using design thinking and related methodologies
- Demonstrable experience in creating UI artefacts – mood boards, low-res and hi-res prototypes, style guides, key visuals, interactive guidelines, pixel level visual design
- Experience using analytics to inform design decisions
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS, with the ability to understand basic front‑end structure and collaborate effectively with developers
- Good English influencing, communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Experience in financial services is a plus
- Experience working on global teams and multi‑market projects.
