A Day in the Life
Join Medtronic’s Service & Repair (S&R) EMEA organization as a Sr. Process Compliance & Technical Training Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing both compliance excellence and workforce capability across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how a leading healthcare organization maintains quality, develops technical expertise, and delivers safe, reliable service to customers and patients. If you are passionate about quality systems, continuous improvement, and enabling organizational success through training and compliance, this role offers broad visibility and meaningful impact.In this hybrid position, you will serve as the subject matter expert for compliance and technical product training / QMS LMS training processes, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across S&R EMEA. You will drive initiatives that strengthen training governance, training process optimization, and audit readiness while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards. The role offers the opportunity to partner across countries and functions, empowering a skilled, certified workforce and contributing directly to operational excellence and compliant service delivery throughout the region.
The role is based in Heerlen, the Netherlands and will require 2 days on-site presence. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable quality standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor compliance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Have a focus on QMS LMS training governance and compliance.
- Drive CAPA, change control, management review and regulatory action follow-up to closure.
- Support audits and inspections, including preparation, execution, and remediation.
Technical Training & Competence Management
- Own and govern the technical (product) training & certification process for S&R EMEA personnel.
- Define and optimize technical training process improvements.
- Oversee training planning, delivery, competence evaluation, and certification assessments.
- Govern and maintain the training and competence matrix, ensuring periodic reviews, updates, and compliant documentation of training records and certification evidence within applicable systems.
- Facilitate training recertification and decertification processes in line with business and compliance requirements.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Quality, Compliance, Training, or Process Improvement
- Experience in medical device or similarly regulated industry
- Strong comprehension of QMS, training compliance, and competence management
- Proven experience in cross-functional stakeholder management
- Strong evidence-based decision-making, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience with LMS systems (e.g., CSOD) and training governance
- Project management capabilities
For this role, we would ideally like you to have Lean/Six Sigma certification, experience with global training programs or certification frameworks, knowledge of Service & Repair or technical field service environments, experience with audit/inspection readiness programs, and additional European language skills.
