At Avon, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As a People Service Area Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality People Services across assigned markets, ensuring a seamless employee experience in payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations. You will support the successful transition and integration of processes into our Shared Services model while maintaining operational excellence and compliance. Working closely with employees, stakeholders, and external partners, you'll help drive continuous improvement, accuracy, and efficiency across People Services activities.Key responsibilities:
Coordinating monthly payroll activities, including collecting and validating payroll inputs and collaborating with external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely salary payments.
Administering employee benefit programs and supporting employees with benefits-related queries.
Maintaining and updating employee data in Workday and/or local HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Performing regular audits, controls, and reporting activities to support data integrity and operational excellence.
Supporting employees with payroll and benefits-related matters, providing timely and customer-focused assistance.
Leading and supporting the transition of assigned markets into the Shared Services model, including process mapping, system integration, and knowledge transfer activities.
Creating, maintaining, and updating documentation, process guides, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the People Services strategy.
What we're looking for:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, Payroll, HR Administration, or a related field.
Solid understanding of payroll processes and employee benefits administration.
Experience working with HR systems, ideally Workday or another HRIS platform.
Professional-level fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Italian language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and data quality.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and markets.
Experience supporting process transitions, change initiatives, or shared services operations would be an advantage.
