Role Overview
The International Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating end-to-end international logistics operations across multiple regions, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of materials, components, and finished products. This role acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, suppliers, freight partners, customs brokers, and project teams to support on-time delivery and operational excellence.
The position plays a critical role in supporting ARRAY Technologies' global renewable energy projects by ensuring seamless international transportation, import/export compliance, inventory visibility, and continuous logistics improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end international logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and distribution across multiple regions.
- Manage and monitor international shipments, ensuring on-time delivery to customers, warehouses, and project sites.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, import/export documentation, and country-specific logistics procedures.
- Coordinate complex shipments, including oversized, heavy-lift, and project cargo associated with renewable energy projects.
- Track logistics performance indicators such as delivery performance, freight costs, transit times, and cargo damage rates.
- Identify potential transportation risks, port disruptions, customs issues, and supply chain bottlenecks, developing mitigation plans as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Customer Service teams to support business and project requirements.
- Support inventory movements between suppliers, warehouses, distribution centers, and project sites while maintaining inventory accuracy and visibility.
- Analyze freight spend and logistics trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service levels, operational efficiency, and logistics standardization.
- Support logistics reporting, KPI reviews, and operational performance meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate transportation, compliance, and shipment records within company systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, International Business, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international logistics, transportation, supply chain, or import/export operations.
- Experience coordinating international shipments across multiple regions, preferably including EMEA and LATAM.
- Strong knowledge of international transportation modes, Incoterms, customs processes, and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and transportation management tools.
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of oversized cargo and project logistics.
- APICS, CSCMP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain/logistics certifications.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Additional language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, or other EMEA languages).
