QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS TEST ANALYST to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.
Job Summary
QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs. The selected Analyst will primarily analyze test data to help verify the system design.
Additionally, the selected Analyst will support the software development team with verifying requirements with automated verification and testing tools. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in analysis and testing of a software-intensive system in a variety of test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development. This position will require a strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems with assistance from other test engineers and software developers.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Assist the software development team in verifying requirements using automated verification and testing tools
- Possess knowledge and experience in the analysis and testing of a software-intensive system across a variety of test environments/venues, using Agile development
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.) at the time of application is highly preferred; or certification must be obtained within 40 days of the start date. Certification must be maintained throughout employment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment daily
- Experience with automated testing for requirement verification
- Exposure to programming languages such as Java and C#
- Prior experience testing and verifying requirements for software applications and systems
- Conducting an analysis of collected data
- Development of action plans based on data analysis
- Documenting software deficiency reports
- Presenting analysis results and action plans verbally and/or in written formats such as slides, annotated slides, or test report documents
- Occasional travel between Colorado Springs facilities and sites (including Schriever SFB) and Huntsville, AL
- This position will require a strong, self-starting individual capable of diving into problems, with assistance from other test engineers and software developers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
- Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Prior experience in an Agile development process
- Performance requirement and verification analysis
- Verification of ICD and interface requirements
- Experience in a DevSecOps environment is extremely desirable
Security Clearance
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
