Job Summary:

Detail-oriented Full Stack Software Developer to join our development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level web applications, with a particular focus on our primary learning and training platforms. You will work across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)—translating business needs into functional requirements, building database integrations, creating dynamic front-end user interfaces, and ensuring the smooth delivery of digital learning assets.

This position requires strong database development skills (specifically Oracle PL/SQL), web development expertise, and familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities

Application Development & Maintenance

• Full-Stack Engineering: Develop, test, and maintain enterprise web-based applications (such as our LMS application) using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and back-end languages like Java, Python, or C#.
• Database Development: Design, optimize, and maintain Oracle database structures. Write complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures to support application logic, retrieve data, and generate custom ad hoc reports.
• Feature Enhancement: Design and implement new features, tools, and enhancements to expand application functionality, with a focus on administrative tools and interactive web-based training resources.
• Refactoring & Optimization: Troubleshoot, debug, and refactor legacy code to improve system stability, response times, and overall user experience.

System Integration & Learning Management (LMS)

• LMS Support: Provide technical support and operational guidance to the training and organizational development teams regarding LMS platforms and digital learning initiatives.
• SCORM Compliance: Convert, package, and deploy educational materials and training courses into SCORM-compliant formats for seamless integration and tracking within the company's LMS.
• Cloud Integration: Assist in defining, directing, and executing implementations of Oracle Fusion Cloud Learning (OLC) features and associated modules.
• Enterprise Integration: Contribute technical and functional support to large-scale enterprise system integration projects.

Requirements Gathering & Collaboration

• Business Analysis: Interface with end-users and organizational stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business needs into technical specifications and software requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Design and execute thorough test procedures to validate new features, security updates, and overall application changes.
• Technical Support: Resolve Tier 2/3 application support issues, managing and tracking tickets through to resolution.
• Standards Compliance: Review and revise digital materials, including presentations and documents, to ensure compliance with company brand guidelines, formatting requirements, and established directives.

 

Requirements and Education:

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development, including the development, testing, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications.
• Database Proficiency: Hands-on experience working with relational databases, specifically Oracle Database, including strong proficiency in PL/SQL, query optimization, and schema management.
• Web Development: Proven experience with core web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern development frameworks/libraries.
• Tooling: Proficiency with development tools such as Git/Version Control, Visual Studio Code, and Oracle database tools (e.g., Toad for Oracle).

 

Preferred Requirements and Education:

• LMS & Training Systems: Direct experience administering or developing for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and deploying SCORM-compliant training packages.
• E-Learning Authoring: Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools such as iSpring or Articulate Storyline.
• Cloud Solutions: Experience or exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud Learning (OLC) or other enterprise cloud-based ERP modules.
• Multi-Language Competency: Exposure to multiple programming paradigms (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or PHP).
• Minimum Requirement: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related business/technical field.
• Strong academic performance (GPA of 3.5 or higher) is highly preferred.
• Industry-recognized software development certifications (e.g., IT Specialist – Software Development or equivalent vendor-specific certifications from Oracle, Microsoft, or AWS).
• Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex application and database issues.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability: A motivated self-starter who is eager to learn new technologies, platforms, and methodologies as business needs evolve.
