TITLE: Prep Cook (Cook 1)
LOCATION: Steak Pit at Snowbird Center
STATUS: Full time
SCHEDULE: Varies – Must be available to work weekends and holidays
SUMMARY
As a Cook 1, you will support the kitchen operations by prepping ingredients, performing basic cooking duties, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our guests enjoy high-quality meals while contributing to a strong kitchen team culture.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Follow all food quality, safety, preparation, nutrition guidelines
Wash, chop, and measure ingredients as directed
Stock, label, and organize ingredients for easy access
Assist with basic food preparation
Support other kitchen positions as needed
Keep kitchen areas clean and organized: sanitize surfaces, wash dishes, and take out trash
Communicate clearly with Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team
Participate in on-the-job-training and skill development
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous kitchen experience is a plus
Valid Food Handler Permit or willingness to obtain one
Basic knowledge of kitchen health and safety rules
Must be at least 21 years of age
A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
SCHEDULE
Varies depending on business levels, includes weekends and holidays
Must be prepared for occasional overnight stays due to weather related road closures
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to travel to Snowbird Resort
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
