About the Role
The position objective of team leader of IT is to• Assist the department head on IT development strategy and overall management.
• Lead the team to complete IT projects and maintain day-to-day systems reliability.
• Lead initiatives that embed AI capabilities across investment research, risk management, operational automation, and client services — transforming how the firm leverages data and intelligence at every level.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Participate to formulate and execute long-term and annual IT development strategies, priorities and plans for IT system, investment applications and data management across IAMC.
- Responsible for setting the governance framework for IT, establishing IT policy and procedures complying with IGF, AIA standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead to maintain existing IAMC systems to ensure BAU smoothly and successfully.
- Responsible for enhance existing investment systems to cater to new business requirements.
- Lead to effectively maintain AMC infrastructure support model, IT security and data security together with AIA Life CIT team, effectively meeting AIA standard and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the relationship with key external service providers, including software vendors and outsourced service partners.
- Manage the overall IT budget, ensuring effective resource allocation.
- Establish an enterprise AI platform that enables internal teams to leverage shared models, data feeds, and prompt engineering frameworks — lowering the barrier to AI adoption.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with AI technology vendors, model providers, and open-source communities.
- Foster a firm-wide AI culture by organizing training programs and proof-of-concept showcases to build AI literacy and drive bottom-up innovation.
- Stay current with AI industry trends, particularly in financial services applications (AI agents, multi-modal models, agentic workflows), and proactively recommend pilot initiatives.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, Advanced degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Prior experience in asset management, insurance asset management, securities, or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in infrastructure technologies: Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), networking (LAN/WAN, firewalls).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Understanding of data warehouse, BI tools, and financial data integration.
- Familiarity with NFRA, CSRC regulatory requirements related to IT governance in insurance asset management.
- Understanding of classified protection (等级保护), cybersecurity review, and IT outsourcing management regulations.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of AI technologies: LLM application development, prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), fine-tuning, and model evaluation.
- Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows for financial use cases (e.g., automated data collection, multi-step research pipelines, intelligent compliance review) is much preferred.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
