Fairmont Family Dental is seeking a dependable, energetic Hygiene Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, supporting a fast-paced hygiene department, and helping create an exceptional experience for every patient.

As a Hygiene Assistant, you'll work closely with our dental hygienists to keep the schedule running smoothly, prepare patients and treatment rooms, assist with radiographs and clinical needs, and help our hygiene team provide efficient, high-quality care.

Schedule

• Tuesday–Friday
• Alternating Saturdays
• Approximately 32 hours per week
• Eligible for full-time benefits

What You'll Do

• Support our dental hygienists throughout the patient day
• Prepare, organize, and turn over hygiene treatment rooms efficiently
• Seat patients and prepare them for hygiene appointments
• Take high-quality digital radiographs as permitted
• Assist with periodontal charting and clinical documentation
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standards
• Stock treatment rooms and ensure supplies are readily available
• Help keep the hygiene schedule running efficiently and on time
• Educate and support patients throughout their visit
• Utilize Open Dental for patient documentation and clinical workflow
• Step in wherever needed to support the hygiene and clinical teams

What We're Looking For

• Dental assisting or previous dental experience required
• Experience supporting a hygiene department is a plus
• Familiarity with Open Dental preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, proactive, and willing to jump in wherever needed
• Positive attitude and team-first mentality
• Someone who enjoys working with patients and helping create a comfortable experience
• Eager to learn, grow, and expand their dental knowledge

Requirements

Education and Training

• RDA per TX requirements
• Radiology required
• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
