Description

Citi Wealth is seeking an exceptional Senior Investments Content Strategist to join the Content & Client Engagement team — a senior, strategic role at the intersection of investment expertise, multi-format content production, and client communication.

This is not a support role. You are a recognised authority in investments content strategy — someone who brings deep knowledge of the wealth management investment landscape, a sophisticated understanding of how complex financial strategies are positioned and communicated across formats, and the credibility to operate at the most senior levels of a large, global organisation. You follow the latest developments in your field closely and adapt them with speed and intelligence to the demands of the business.

Your remit spans the full breadth of Citi Wealth's investment product portfolio — from equities and fixed income to multi-asset strategies and alternative investments. You are not a specialist in one asset class or one content format. You are the person who understands how a sophisticated investment idea needs to be expressed differently depending on whether it is a whitepaper for an institutional advisor, a short-form video for a digital channel, a panel discussion at a marquee client conference, or a monthly fact sheet for a relationship manager's client meeting. You move between those formats with fluency and with consistently high standards.

You will partner with senior members of Citi Wealth's global and regional marketing and investment leadership to develop integrated content strategies that bring the firm's investment capabilities to life — across written, video, audio, event, and digital formats. You will be the connective tissue between investment teams, product, legal, compliance, and the broader content function — ensuring that Citi Wealth's investment value proposition is communicated with clarity, precision, and genuine differentiation.

You operate with the same dual metabolism that defines the best investment content professionals: responsive and fast when markets move and opportunities arise; meticulous and considered when developing the flagship collateral, capability narratives, and quarterly programs that form the backbone of Citi Wealth's client communications calendar. You understand that in a regulated financial environment, every word — and every frame — carries weight.

Responsibilities:

Content Strategy & Integrated Campaign Development

  • Partner with senior members of Citi Wealth's global marketing and regional marketing leads to seek out and develop integrated content strategies and campaigns in alignment with agreed business and marketing plans — across the full spectrum of Citi Wealth's investment product portfolio.
  • Bring a strategic, audience-first perspective to every brief — ensuring that investment content is grounded in a clear understanding of client needs, competitive positioning, and the prevailing investment landscape.
  • Stay closely attuned to the latest trends in investment content strategy, wealth management communication, and financial services storytelling — actively adapting best practices for application within Citi Wealth's global content program.
  • Contribute to strategic planning processes — bringing strong analytic acumen and a results-driven orientation to how priorities are set, resources are allocated, and performance is evaluated.

Capabilities Messaging & Investment Value Proposition

  • Drive the development of clear, compelling capabilities messaging that articulates Citi Wealth's investment offerings and overall investment management value proposition — with the precision and authority that sophisticated clients and their advisors demand.
  • Ensure that investment messaging is consistently differentiated, intellectually rigorous, and aligned with the firm's broader brand and communications standards — across all formats and all markets.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Citi Wealth's investment strategies across asset classes — equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternatives — and translate that understanding into content that is accurate, engaging, and compliant across written, visual, audio, and experiential formats.

Multi-Format Content Production

  • Lead the development of client-facing and educational content across the full format spectrum — written collateral including whitepapers, brochures, capability overviews, fact sheets, and sales decks; video content including investment outlooks, expert interviews, explainer series, and social edits; audio content including podcasts and recorded commentaries; and event and experiential content including panel programmes, conference presentations, and client experience activations.
  • Work closely with Citi Wealth's investment teams, product, legal, compliance, and the broader content and production team — including editors, cinematographers, and designers — to ensure all output is technically accurate, appropriately approved, and produced to the highest standard across every format.
  • Bring the same editorial rigor and audience intelligence to a two-page At a Glance as to a flagship long-form video series or a keynote conference program — understanding that quality and clarity are non-negotiable at every scale.
  • Understand the specific demands of each format — what a podcast requires that a whitepaper does not; what a live event demands that a social edit cannot deliver — and bring genuine content intelligence to how Citi Wealth's investment stories are matched to the right medium.

Product Launch & Program Support

  • Manage global compliance coordination as it relates to Citi Wealth investment product launches — including training materials, after-sales support content, and ongoing digital channel maintenance.
  • Ensure that all product launch content activity is planned, coordinated, and executed with the diligence that a regulated, global financial services environment demands — on time, fully approved, and audit-ready.
  • Maintain comprehensive legal and compliance approval records for all content materials — upholding the highest standards of process integrity and regulatory accountability.

Reporting & Ongoing Program Management

  • Manage the standard reporting process across Citi Wealth's investment strategies — including Portfolio Manager commentaries, monthly and quarterly fact sheets, sales deck updates, and investment review publications.
  • Ensure that all recurring program deliverables — written, video, audio, and event — are produced to schedule, to standard, and through a well-managed, clearly documented production process, with appropriate review and sign-off at every stage.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and modernize the reporting and program management process — recommending and implementing changes that increase efficiency without compromising quality or compliance.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Treat the measurement of content impact as a discipline, not an afterthought. Remaining conscious of clear metrics for Citi Wealth's investment content program across all formats and tracking performance against them with rigor and consistency.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of content in supporting business development and client engagement — tracking impact from content engagement and event attendance through to contribution to the business pipeline, and feeding those learnings back into how content is developed, prioritized, and evolved.
  • Stay current with available measurement tools and analytics platforms across written, video, audio, and event formats — adopting new approaches as they emerge and continuously improving the accuracy and relevance of the team's performance intelligence.
  • Present performance insights to senior stakeholders in business-relevant terms — connecting content activity across all formats to commercial outcomes and investment pipeline contribution.

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Operate with confidence and credibility at senior levels of the organization — navigating a large, complex, matrixed global structure with the diplomatic skill and strategic intelligence that it demands.
  • Serve as the primary investment content liaison between Citi Wealth's investment teams and key partner functions — including marketing, ICG, Consumer, Internal Communications, and PR — ensuring alignment, consistency, and mutual support across the firm's investment communications ecosystem.
  • Guide, influence, and convince senior colleagues and occasional external partners through well-reasoned, clearly communicated recommendations — building trust through expertise, reliability, and sound judgment.
  • Appropriately assess risk in all content decisions — demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and the safeguarding of Citigroup, its clients, and its assets. Adhere to policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and escalate and report control issues with full transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry — with a specific focus on wealth management or asset management content strategy, collateral development, and program execution across multiple formats.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of investment content development within a wealth management or asset management structure — including the regulatory, compliance, and operational frameworks that govern it.
  • Solid working knowledge of equity, fixed income, and multi-asset class financial products across Citi Wealth's investment product portfolio — with the ability to engage credibly with investment professionals and translate complex strategies into clear, compelling content. Alternatives experience a significant plus.
  • Proven experience developing and producing investment content across multiple formats — written collateral, video, audio, and live events — with a genuine understanding of what each medium demands and how investment ideas travel differently across them.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated content strategies across a global, matrixed organization — managing multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and complex approval processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills — with a demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at multiple seniority levels, including senior investment professionals, business heads, and external clients.
  • Strong analytic acumen and a results-driven orientation — with experience setting measurable content objectives, tracking performance across formats, and using data to inform decisions and improve the accuracy of future measurement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven program of work across multiple content formats — reprioritizing with agility as business needs evolve.
  • A proactive approach to process improvement — identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and implementing changes that make the team smarter and faster without compromising standards.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with alternatives content — hedge funds, private equity, private credit, or real assets — within a wealth management or private bank context.
  • Hands-on experience producing or closely overseeing video, podcast, or live event content within a financial services environment — including an understanding of production workflows, vendor management, and the specific compliance considerations that apply to each format.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content production, marketing automation, and digital analytics platforms — with a proactive approach to adopting new tools as they become available and folding their capabilities into the team's workflow.
  • International content experience — developing and adapting materials across multiple markets, regulatory jurisdictions, and cultural contexts.
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Investment Content Authority: You are a recognized expert in your field — deeply knowledgeable about wealth management's investment product landscape, fluent in the language of investment strategy, and trusted by senior investment professionals to represent their capabilities with accuracy and intelligence.
  • Multi-Format Fluency: You understand how investment ideas travel — and how they need to be shaped differently depending on whether the medium is a whitepaper, a video series, a podcast, or a live client event. You bring genuine content intelligence to format decisions, not just execution capability.
  • Communication & Influence: You communicate with clarity, precision, and credibility at every level of the organization — guiding, persuading, and aligning senior stakeholders through the quality of your thinking and the strength of your relationships.
  • Regulatory Discipline: You operate in a highly regulated environment with full awareness of what that demands — every material approved, every process documented, every risk appropriately escalated.
  • Strategic & Analytical Acumen: You bring a genuine strategic perspective to your work — setting clear objectives, measuring outcomes rigorously across all formats, and using data to make better decisions and build stronger investment cases.
  • Measurement Discipline: You close the loop on every program — tracking impact from engagement through to business pipeline contribution, synthesizing learnings across formats, and feeding them back into how the team prioritizes, produces, and evolves its content activity. You are always looking for a better tool, a more accurate signal, a more useful question to ask of the data.
  • Operational Excellence: You manage a high-volume, multi-format program of work with the precision and calm of a seasoned operator — on time, on standard, and audit-ready.
  • Continuous Improvement: You are never satisfied with how things are done today if there is a smarter way to do them tomorrow — and you have the initiative and credibility to make change happen.
