As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors, staff, and guests with professionalism. You will conduct routine patrols, report observations, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for residents and staff.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
